To put it plainly, we couldn’t have GiveCamp NWA each year without the donated space from the Center for Nonprofits at St. Mary’s. This is the third year they’ve been a platinum sponsor and in addition to space, they help us get the word out to their nonprofit partners about the GiveCamp opportunity.
CFN at St. Mary’s was dealt a devastating blow in May when the building was heavily damaged by tornadoes. By the time we were using their facility in October, it was largely renovated and repaired but there was still about two months’ worth of work to complete. We are grateful they still let us use the building!
According to their website, CFN at St. Mary’s is “a multi-partner venue that houses nearly 60 agencies providing health, education, and human services to people living in Northwest Arkansas. By eliminating duplication of services and focusing resources on community impact versus capital campaigns, nonprofit organizations housed at the center they are able to more effectively serve the community. Their focus is to provide below-market-rate leases for nonprofit organizations in a space that encourages collaboration and provides easy access to services for the public.”
The Center provides physical office space, including classroom and meeting rooms, amenities and support services to its tenant organizations. Their model supports community development by providing a professional environment in which organizations focusing on health, social, and community services can collaborate to make a positive impact.
The center’s 13-acre campus, including the former St. Mary’s hospital, convent, and outbuildings, totals nearly 300,000 square feet along South 13th Street and West Poplar in downtown Rogers.
